Course overview

Gain the basic skills required to provide responsible gambling services in a variety of hospitality roles. This qualification is an essential minimum requirement for personnel operating in licensed gambling premises.

Gaming areas are provided in a range of hospitality venues including hotels, clubs, pubs, and casinos. The need for cross-trained staff in the hospitality industry is driving demand for qualified staff in this area.

In this course you'll learn how to provide gambling services and how to assist those customers who have issues with problem gambling. This qualification applies to frontline operational gambling personnel who operate a Totalisator Agency Board, gaming machines, table games, Keno, and lotteries.

This course will allow you to work as a gaming attendant or croupier in a variety of licensed gambling premises.

New employees performing gaming tasks or duties have three months from the date of commencing employment to obtain their Statement of Attainment for RGS.
