Course overview

Delivered in partnership with the University of Canberra, this degree takes a unique, multidisciplinary approach that leads to innovative thinking and design practice. With a focus on sustainability, climate change, globalisation, new technologies and social consciousness issues, innovation lives at the core of our approach.

The majority of study will be completed in a design studio environment and on a project basis. This is integrated with technical studies, industry engagement and research-led teaching. You will focus on interior architecture and design.

You will learn the aesthetic, functional, economic and socio-political dimensions of interior archiecture design, to be ready to work in an exciting, complex and multidisciplinary industry.

Selection criteria

Semester 2, 2018 August 6 applications are for second year entry only.

Second year entry requirements for this qualification are;

  • Completion of a relevant TAFE Queensland diploma, such as:
    • MSF50213 Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration
  • Or completion of a relevant Diploma:
    • CUV50311 Diploma of Graphic Design
    • 10045NAT Graduate Certificate in Architectural Digital Illustration
    • CUA50715 Diploma of Graphic Design

These diplomas awards a full year's credit towards this degree. You can gain credit for diplomas in other study areas; however the credit arrangement may differ. Call us for information on your credit options.
