Learn all about MYOB Payroll with this course!

This course is for users of MYOB who wish to use the Payroll module.  Students will be taught using MYOB version 19.8.

**This MYOB Payroll course can be combined with Introduction to Accounting and MYOB Accounting (MYOB Accounting Bundle 1) or with MYOB Accounting (MYOB Accounting Bundle 2) for a special bundle price.  To take advantage of this bundle please speak to the Customer Service team.  Note: The bundle offer is strictly available at the time of enrolment only.

Topics include setting up a payroll in MYOB, historical information, payroll categories, setting up deductions, understanding superannuation and PAYG tax, paying wages (by cash, cheque and electronically), payroll reports, customising payroll, timesheets, entitlements and payroll obligations.

An easy to follow manual, with appropriate activities for each topic is used, together with MYOB computer software. Supplementary notes are provided by the teacher.

This short course is non-accredited therefore is not registered with the National Training Register.

Selection criteria

  • Prerequisite for this course is to be currently working with MYOB on a regular basis or to have completed a MYOB Level 1 course.
  • A knowledge of basic bookkeeping is essential as is a good knowledge of the basics of MYOB.

Resources required

  • Students are required to bring a blue/black pen, writing paper and a memory stick/USB flash drive for saving your work and taking your files home.
  • Students will receive a comprehensive manual.
  • Students need to present their Confirmation of Enrolment to the car park attendant each week to be eligible for discounted parking.
