Our Northern Peninsula Area campus is located in the Torres Strait Islander community of Bamaga, approximately 40 kilometres from the northern tip of the Cape York Peninsula. The Bamaga community is the commercial and administrative centre for the Northern Peninsula Area. The town is the most northern township in mainland Queensland and is a popular tourist destination for 4WD enthusiasts.

What's on offer at the Northern Peninsula Area campus

As the largest of the five Northern Peninsula Area communities Bamaga has facilities including a bakery, gymnasium, merchandise/clothing store, post office, pub, service station, sporting fields, showgrounds, and basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts. Study areas offered at the Northern Peninsula Area campus include Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander primary health care, early childhood education and care, first aid and CPR.

Public transport

Taxi services are available through Bamaga-Seisa District Taxi Service, however there is no public transport available to the Northern Peninsula Area campus.
